Challenge: New acquisition with minimal projectcontrols needed to meet parent company’s CapitalProject expectations.

People: Senior project controls manager, costanalysts, P6 schedulers, estimators and projectmanager assistants totaling 107 staff.

Solution: Performed comprehensive gap analysis, facilitated communication between acquisition and parent company, and developed and implemented a three-phase strategy to create a well-functioning project controls department. Handled all recruiting, staffing and training for 3-year managed service engagement and assisted with the transition to anin-sourced project controls department.

Results: Reduced monthly variance from over 30%to below 5% in first 9 months and maintained consistent performance thereafter. High yield transition to in-sourced department.
